Think of your body as a furnace. You've got to feed it nutrient dense meals to fuel it — to fire up the furnace that is your metabolism. Pile on processed foods, sugar, alcohol, junk that has no nutritional value, and it's just like throwing water on a fire. You're extinguishing your metabolic spark.

The first component of any fitness program is food, and that's the one so many people have trouble with. I can show you ways to eat that actually help you lose weight—honest—when you eat the right things at the right times, again making it part of your three fitness components.
